Honda Civic Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Bridgestone Turanza 6 given 93% (235-45-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 2 average miles
Really happy so far following replacing the Landsails 588 (i think) or 388.. can't remember. one of those. All four tyres fitted in June 2023.

- Significant confidence in the wet, e.g. during a biblical downpour near the Swiss French border towards Basel, motorway had pretty bad standing water and tyres seemingly dealt with it a lot better if compared to other slower moving vehicles. I felt safe, no aquaplaning events.
- Good dry grip, was great going down the winding mountain roads. I felt safe.
- Better in events of sudden braking, i was going to stop, and stop..
- Great comfort, was probably the car as well. but great combined effort.
- Fuel economy getting 50+mpg (i think) on the European motorways during its road trip. Met my expectations.
- From visual inspection after 2k miles since fitting in June very good wear, looking good as new, early days. Have all tyres around 34psi.

Driving on a combination of roads for 8000 average miles
I got presauded from a local tyre shop/ dealer to get falken tyres from 2 choices of previous tyre manufacturers I’ve used before and rated them them highly.
I carefully drove/wore them in as advised but they were noisy from day one and still very noisy
I drive 21 miles to work each way daily. The first time I drove the car when wet after 2 weeks of dry weather, it was like driving on Marbles and lost grip at slightest excuse
Swooping the tyres Front to Rear hasn’t helped.
I bought 4 so it was a set of the same make and I have got these tyres for the duration. I don’t trust them. I hate them. I will not buy falken tyres again

Driving on a combination of roads for 2500 spirited miles
Changed to pirelli powergy from conti uc6. Tried to get pirelli p7c2 but it was out of stock and the dealer recommended these. Driven 2500km so far. Grip has increased a bit though that might be due to the tyre being 10mm wider than the 215 uc6. Comfort is good, noise is low but steering feels a bit heavy. Grip in wet and dry both excellent. Low noise as well. Quiet at high speed (>130km/h) So far so good.

Driving on mostly motorways for 38000 average miles
Put 38000km on a new set, and it needs replacement. Steering feedback is not the greatest. It does not track straight. Got wheel alignment when they were installed. Good snow and wet handling

Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 spirited miles
I'm comparing these to my previous tires which were Michelin Primacy 3 and Falken Ziex ZE310 Ecorun. These are excellent touring tires overall. Dry and wet grip are both great, no problem with spirited driving in either condition. What surprised me was the precise steering feel and good feedback. Falkens and Michelins both felt more rounded and bloaty in corners. Comfort is good, road imperfections are smoothed out well and on decent roads they're extremely quiet, comparable to the Falkens which were the quietest I've ever heard. The Falkens had a high rolling resistance but that's not a problem with Wetproofs, I'm saving nearly a liter per 100 km and the car feels nimble and light. I can't comment on wear yet but if they hold up these are premium tires for a midrange price and I can easily recommend them for everyone.

Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 average miles
Very good grip in both dry and wet roads. The only tyre that I haven't felt any loss of traction when driving on wet roads. It has only lost traction when I did it on purpose to test the limits and it wasn't easy. Very comfortable and soft ride with no noises. It's been a year that I'm driving on these tyres and they don't look to have worn out at all although I see some small cracks on the edges of the front tyres mainly due to the scorching summer heat. All in all I would definitely buy them again. Never have I found a tyre with so good grip on wet roads.

Driving on a combination of roads for 4000 spirited miles
These have good grip on both dry and wet tarmac. The car feels planted, almost pressed down on the road. Steering and handling are slightly vague but solid overall. Road feedback is good without being uncomfortable. They're extremely silent, made my Civic feel like a luxury car. However, the high rolling resistance is a dealbreaker and I'm getting rid of them. Fuel consumption is similar to studded tires and there's a choking feel when accelerating, the engine is clearly working harder than normal.

Very very noisy tyres. I would never buy them again. Otherwise, they are sub mediocre wet and dry.

Terrible tyres. Absolutely noisy. I'm a master tech myself and the noise and vibrations caused by these tyres made me check my suspension components for problems. Will not recommend.
