Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII 5SPD Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Nankang NS2R given 93% (265-35-18-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 spirited miles
Super grip, Dry or Wet. I had this tire on my Evo8(700hp) and BMW M4.
Both cars are for daily and track. About 10,000 miles or more.
In short, NS-2R treadwear 120 is almost identical to AD-08. This is not what I feel, data says so. Lateral G; AD-08 1.3G, NS-2R 1.3G. Braking G; AD-08 0.8G, NS-2R 0.8G. Best Lap time also was very identical within 0.1s. Which means its drivebility is about the same too.
This is insane performance when you think of the price tag.
Mileage is also crazy. Almost not understandable. I don't understand why NS-2R goes more than 30~50% more than AD-08. Why doesn't the other tire companies make like Nankang does?
For the money, I'd give the best rating except comfort. But Hey, No sport tires are comfortable.

Driving on mostly town for 1000 average miles
Superb grip on dry. Tried once on winding road. I can attack those corners with much faster speed than previous tyres.

The sidewall are stiff and the tyre is noisy. But hey it's not for comfortable ride. I can live with the stiffness and the noisy (my exhaust note is louder than the tyre)

Tried once in pouring rain. The max I can step on my throttle is 60KM/H. More than that, the car is all over the road even the AYC/ACD is on tarmac mode. Again as expected for semi slick tyre.

Other than that, I'm really satisfied with this tyre. Best bang for bucks. Definitely will buy again.

Absolutely amazing grip. Put these on for our road trip across Europe and not once did they let us down. Excellent in snow and wet conditions and surprisingly brilliant in the dry.

Hands down, better than other winter tyres i've experienced.

Great tires. I have them on a 2005 evolution 8. They are slightly stretched onto after market 18x 9.5 inch rims. Never had issues with them. I've had them on for almost a year now. Great all season of tires. In fact they are so sticky I seem to pick up every screw on the road but that's just my luck. Would definitely buy again.
