Vauxhall Combo 1.7 Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Nexen Winguard Snow G WH2 given 84% (185-60-15-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 spirited miles
These tyres are great, finally got a bit of snow recently and got to play with them and they didn't disappoint. I drive quite hard and aggressive so I push the tyres hard and in the wet I sometimes feel there struggling but never had an issue.
These tyres were really well priced, are lasting well and inspire confidence in winter conditions.

Writing about the Autogrip F101 given 100% (195-60-15-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 300000 spirited miles
I mounted these F101’s onto my 15” steel rims on the front of my 2009 Vauxhall Combo van during last summer season and I have to say they are pretty good, the tread pattern is surprisingly snow tyre like with lines and zigzags, I’ve clocked up just a little over 30k miles with these in the past year and they have about 5mm of tread left which is surprisingly good considering I’m accelerator happy haha normally my driving would rip a cheap pair of tyres to shreds by now but these laugh in my face and with stand all my driving conditions and not once slipped out on me.

Not being about to afford a snow tyre in the early part of the year when we had all that bad snow I invested in some cheap snow socks as it was quite bad where I lived and my trip to work takes me up hills that would make Everest look like a speed bump and while I was taking it very easy with these tyre’s because they are only summer tyres I had no troubles with grip I had the socks at the ready but didn’t need them, shocked I think was the word, also don’t have any trouble in wet weather either and breaking is very good too and certainly would use them again

Writing about the Avon CR322 given 91% (175-65-14-R)
Driving on a combination of roads for 34000 average miles
These tyres are great. I thought they were a cheap make when I got them as my mates all had Pirellis and Bridgestone etc. But they are fantastic! I couldn't believe the amount of grip I had when cornering hard in the wet or dry. Even grip well in snow. I am still on the same set of tyres after doing 34000 miles and they haven't perished and have still got some tread left considering I have pushed them to the max. I am looking for some more but find it hard to get them :-/ I would definitely recommend these tyres.

Writing about the Michelin Energy Saver given 90% (225-45-17-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 6000 average miles
Bought four new Michelin Energy Savers to replace terrible Bridgestones that only lasted 10k and slipped at every opportunity. These tyres are a world apart - exceptionally quiet but very efficient when braking and cornering. The only downside is that there isn't as much feedback from the road as I had from my old tyres, but they feel very controlled even when tested through corners so it's a price I'm prepared to pay. Very negligible wear even after being driven hard for 6k miles.

Writing about the Nankang NS2 given 87% (185-55-15-V)
Driving on a combination of roads for 6000 spirited miles
Well I cant fault these. Fitted these to my VX Combo van end of July this year, done 6000 miles so far, fronts less than 20% worn, rears still have moulding marks. Being a courier, I do put tyres to the test and these have performed 100%. Travelling along waterlogged motorways, its almost too reassuring. Because of there stronger sidewall, they are more stable with heavy loads and the steering response is very good. This also helps deal with those unexpected pot holes. I will leave updated feedback, when I reach the tread limits.
