Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 rated 67% while driving a Alfa Romeo GT 1.9 JTD
Driving on mostly country roads for 1300 spirited miles
Soo, i have the tyre for 2000km and so far i am very impresed with grip in wet and dry, before it warms up is bad but after the rubber becomes sticky and unstopable (i always smell burning rubber when i park my car), but the tyres have a problem, outer sides are almost gone after 2000km and i eat tham down to the name of the tyre, sidewalls are to soft (this are not XL) you can see it on the picture after the first day of use the tyre had used marks just above the writing "EAGLE F1" and dont tell me i dont put enaugh pressure in becaus i put more than recomended, and the feedback and dynamic feel compared to Yokohoma Advant Fleva v701 is nonexistant until the tyres are pushed well than in that area thay provide good feedback and overall operation, comfort is way better tham Yokohamas, also corner grip is way ahead Of Yokohama tyres i used before, one more BIG p
PROBLEM in temperatures between 0-25°c thay work good, but after outside temps reach 30-35°c+ the tyre become like a chewing gum and its terible, i enjoy tham alot more on the wet than dry

Bridgestone Potenza S001 rated 32% while driving a Volkswagen Golf 6 GTI
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 spirited miles
There's really not much to like about these tyres! If anything, they are solid under breaking, and aren't too adversely affected by wet weather. However, in every other aspect, I can't wait to move them on!

Performance is mediocre at best in dry weather, with large amounts of understeer, and they struggle to get power to the road. Feedback through the steering wheel is wooden, as though there's not enough give in the sidewalls to allow the tyres to bite into the road surface, which isn't inspiring in the slightest. In wet weather they don't seem to be too much worse, but coming from a low dry standard, I wouldn't be trusting these on a spirited wet weather drive.

Perhaps my least favourite aspect of these tyres are the road noise, they have the loudest tyre drone I've ever encountered! It's distracting, and takes away all the enjoyment of conversations, music, engine noise, and basically driving in general. I might as well be driving a truck!

I'll be moving on from these tyres sooner rather than later, even though there is still plenty of tread onboard.

Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3 rated 90% while driving a BMW 328i
Driving on a combination of roads for 23000 spirited miles
Bought a full set for my 328i touring in July 2023. I've now covered 23,000 miles with them and will definitely be buying again shortly as they are getting close to the wear markers.
The tyres felt great in dry and wet conditions. Even when driving during the cold, wet winter mornings the tyres have given a suprising amount of traction in corners and roundabouts. When I think they are about to let go they keep on holding to the road giving a lot of confidence and feel for the car.
More than happy with the durability of the tyres. Regularly recommend the tyres to friends and colleagues.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S rated 97% while driving a Hyundai Elantra N
Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 spirited miles
Extremely good tire. I have full confidence in them even in pouring rain. Now to be fair, I have 245 width which helps but my Elantra N is fairly light so there isn't all that much weight to keep the tires planted. Yet these tires have never steered (

Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport rated 74% while driving a Audi TT MK3 1.8
Driving on mostly town for 11000 spirited miles
I got these three a couple of years ago on a very attractive offer from Costco.

These tyres are extremely competent on a summer’s day. Above 10°c and a dry road I could never reached their limits. In the rain they are also very well put together, albeit I never pushed them in the wet.

Unfortunately, I could never fully enjoy these tyres. Due to the horrendous degradation of our roads, soon after purchase I hit an extremely bad pothole (under a railway bridge. Couldn’t see it until it was too late). Although the tyre and wheel was refitted, I never felt like I could fully trust them. This is there downside. They are extremely hard (due to being a UUHP) and just can’t cope with our roads. They get thrown about all over the place and don’t make for a pleasant ride. This isn’t the fault of the tyres, but really can’t recommend them as an everyday in the UK.

I will add finally that they are useless in the winter. This is no surprise, but under 8°c they are rock hard. So do keep this in mind. Perhaps have a set of winters/All seasons and run these only in the summer.

Michelin Pilot Sport 5 rated 90% while driving a Audi A3 Sportback
Driving on a combination of roads for 750 spirited miles
I will preface this with the fact that this is an initial review. Updates will follow.
I fitted the PS5s about 1200km ago coming from Bridgestone Potenza Sport, both on 225/45 R17 (94Y)

I have had the opportunity to test them in dry and wet conditions, on motorways and along country roads. Type of driving: commuting + spirited when possible.
Compared to Bridgestones when new, the PS5s have more (and more, and more) grip on dry surfaces. The car is planted on 4 wheels, the feeling is to have an AWD car instead of a FWD.
Where the Bridge showed a “dancing” rear during spirited driving, with the Mich you are on rails. And that is confidence inspiring.
On wet surfaces no differences at all.

When it comes to handling and feedback at the wheel, distinctions must be made.
Sportiness increases proportionally with speed! As long as you are travelling at low speeds, I agree with Johnatan that these tyres are slightly slow in following the steering wheel commands (in this the Bridgestones gave a quicker feel), but the higher the speed increases, the more the tyres respond instantly to steering wheel input. And it doesn't just depend on the steering-assist calibration, the feel during turn-in is exactly the same as the Bridgestones, without being too nervous at the limit. With the PS5s you are forced to drive very fast. And, oh, they are lovely!

The only drawback, for me, is the road feedback. The refinement over bumps is achieved at the expense of the rubber-to-road connection.
It is the French way of conceiving sportiness, but for cars of modest performance to be used every day on the road (no track), I think it is a compromise you can live with.

As for wear, the tyres came with 8mm tread depth. I'll update the review after 10k kms

Pirelli P Zero PZ4 rated 86% while driving a Toyota GR86
Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 spirited miles
Great on dry roads or track, with great resistance to heat on track for a road tyre.
Excellent feed-back on steering!
They are a bit sketchy on wet cold roads.
I did a pretty long track day with them and around 5'000km on the road, they have around 5'000km left.

Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport rated 44% while driving a Renault
Driving on mostly country roads for 10000 spirited miles
Having run many sets of Michelin Pilot Supersports over the years on my Megane R26, I fancied a change. I bought these Goodyears and very quickly noticed a heavy pull in the direction of the camber. Furthermore, when they wore down to abo 2mm they were dreadful in the wet.
I’m now back on the Michelins and the car is a pleasure to drive once again.
Avoid.
