Passenger Car Summer Premium Touring Tyres Tyre Review Highlights

Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 rated 84% while driving a Volkswagen
Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 spirited miles
Despite the price point for these tyres being somewhat high, I find them to be a ridiculously comfortable, well-balanced and extremely willing tyre (in terms of "spiritedness" per se).

In the dry, these things are exceptional right until their end of life, I'm on my second set (of fronts, 1st set still on the rear at 13k miles) on my VW Golf 6, and I don't think I'd go to anything else, whilst on the standard wheels that is. These tyres allow for quite spirited driving, have plenty to give in turns and hold really steady. On open Welsh country lanes with the cruise control set to the speed limit (mostly national speed), I find them to be stable, comfortable, and more importantly find myself in complete control.

In the wet, however, it's almost the same. Of course being in the wet, mainly off the mark, you'll find yourself slipping. Obviously they wont grip up the same as in the dry, however it's not too far off at all. In the smashing down rain, of course there's a degree of care and common sense to pull the reigns on said "spiritedness", however in the damp, its almost 1-to-1 what they do in the dry.

The road noise is a little bit loud, but nothing crazy when you've got some music on in comparison to other tyres, barely noticeable.

As mentioned in the dry and the wet, they handle really well, nuff said really!

As far as wear goes, they do tend to be on the longer lasting side in all fairness, I've had my fronts changed recently, hence the 3000 mile test as they're still pretty new on the car, but the rears from the first set (now on 2nd set) have done almost 13k miles and still have loads of meat on the bone!

When it comes to comfort, you can see where the more "performance" aspect of the tyres come into play. They can get a bit bumpy but they're quite reasonably comfy compared to others, but I'm going to assume it's due to the profile of tyre I'm running (quite a bit of sidewall of course being a 205/55).

I would 100% buy these again, as I said, can't see any reason not to considering what you get for the price. Oh, also, they're run-flats! Can't go wrong!

Yokohama BluEarth E70 rated 41% while driving a Mitsubishi Outlander
Driving on a combination of roads for 50000 average miles
This tyre was already on our Outlander PHEV S-Edition (2018) when we bought the car.
They were fitted from the factory from Mitsubishi , as it might sounds nice: Japanese Car and Japanese Tyre Manufactor.
The tires are not really bad or so, but they are just harsh and noisy , not and you feel a lot of the roads.
This is have the feeling Japanese people like better then we (Europeans) do.
I don`t want to feel everything on the road especially not in a SUV / Family car.
The tyres have done 50.000km now and 4mm treaddepth left.
I can`t wait to have them off, and when i see the other reviews here I guess a different tyre will transformate our Outlander back into a new smooth riding vehicle with a lot of comfort.

Bridgestone Turanza T005 rated 73% while driving a Mazda CX30
Driving on a combination of roads for 30000 average miles
Car came with Bridgestone fitted tyres, I’ve driven on them for 3 years /30k miles on motorways, B roads etc , very long journeys through UK and Europe.

When I bought the car UK had a massive amount of snow it handled the snow decently

Wet handling was superb confirmed by v good handling on very difficult wet weather where I couldn’t feel any loss of grip like I felt on different type of tyres albeit on a diferent car.

Dry Handling good nothing to write home about which I presume might be a positive.

Breaking good
Sound proofing average
Comfort average
Fuel consumption v average
Wear very good compared to my previous car ( Volvo S80D5) had Toyo tyres that needed changing every 10-15k or so ..

Bridgestone Turanza T005 rated 53% while driving a Mazda 3 Astina M Hybrid Sedan
Driving on mostly country roads for 20000 average miles
Worst tyre I have ever owned. I installed these tyres on. 2.2D Mazda 3 and honestly handled worse than with the Dunlop sp sports with 55000km at 5 years old. Have recently bought a brand new Mazda 3 with the same tyres and it has just confirmed my opinions. I wouldn't say they are any less comfortable or loud than other tyres but if you appreciate handling any more than just having a car take you from A to B I would avoid these tyres.

Falken ZE914 rated 60% while driving a Toyota Corolla
Driving on a combination of roads for 2500 easy going miles
Fot these tires as Corolla TS 2023 OE.
As the factory shipped... Enough, but they are somehow mistake od choince by Toyota.
As I drive defensively the tires are not so pushed to the limits.
Previously I was driving Skoda with Goodyear Vector Gen 3. Three Falkens are annoingly noisy. 82 km/h - buzz sound, and over 110km/h - humming/harsh like axle joint issue.
And this is only 4k km on them.
Need to replace them ASAP.
Avoid "these things" if you are noise sensitive.
If noise is something that you don't care, go with them. I can give you mine ones (only 4k km used - no rushing)

Michelin Primacy 4 Plus rated 67% while driving a Skoda
Driving on mostly country roads for 5000 average miles
I used tyre reviews as a bench mark against other tyre premium tyres suitable for my car.My current car is a 5 door Skoda hatch back that is a family car and not a fast high performance vehicle. To date Johnathan recommendation have never let me down
in tyre choice to match tyre to car type.I have always purchased premium brands and to-date have always been reasonably pleased with my choice.I would suggest that most European premium brand tyre should be capable of providing good results on british roads keeping to national speed limits and driving with road conditions in mind.

Continental EcoContact 6 rated 33% while driving a Peugeot 2008 (2021)
Driving on a combination of roads for 18000 easy going miles
They were factory fitted from new on my peugeot 2008, only lasted 20 months of steady driving 18000 mls all 4 of them had to fork out for 4 new ones which I,ve never had to before with Michelin and Goodyear tyres, also sidewalls are very flimsy and full of dents, when I first saw my car I could have cried, they looked like oversized balloons peugeot shouldn't be spoiling a great car like the new 2008 by putting that Continental eco 6Q crap on them, bet not many people buy them as replacements, they look like part worn tyres when they are new hardly any Tread on them and they tell you all that special compound crap and green chilli saying they last longer with better mileage well it's all lies, I went for Goodyear vector gen 3 all season, totally transformed my car in every respect, Avoid like a Rash.

Bridgestone Turanza 6 rated 81% while driving a Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 CDTi SE sport
Driving on a combination of roads for 18000 spirited miles
Absolutely fantastic
Immense wet grip,
Makes monsoon weather feel like a dry day.
Very resistant to aquaplaning
Increased my MPG with extra urban driving from 39mpg to 44mpg

A little floaty initially in the dry, after 2-300 miles bedded in a gives very impressive grip considering its a touring tyre.

Leans towards understeer when push very hard but actually hops slightly instead of sliding, never felt the back end slide even with lift of mid corner.

Dunlop SP Sport FM800 rated 86% while driving a Toyota hilux
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 average miles
3rd set. For ve commy. Bf ute 2wd Hilux. I reckon bang for ya buck, real safe wet weather and summer tyre(southern TAS) not a Pirelli sport, but seriously good in wet

Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 2 rated 87% while driving a Toyota Veloz 1.500cc
Driving on mostly motorways for 72000 average miles
Goodyear assurance triple max 2 is very good reason as below,
1. Superb dry grip, few times emergency brake, car stopped nicely even no sound from the tires was heard due to hard breaking.
2. Excellent wet grip , no much different for tyre grip during dry or wet.
3. Perfect Aqua planing resistant, the car break away water perfectly, car can be maneuvered confidently when tires hits water ponding even during cornering. I can drive much faster in highway during rain compared to other car , differences is very obvious .
4. Long lasting , my car hits 120,000 km in 3 years with this tires and the grip still superb . No crack observed on tires , tires tread < 50%, I forecast at least can used up to 150,000 km .
5. Hard side wall, give good control during cornering or cornering on uneven road .
6. Cheapest among all branded tires in the same class. Based on my research , at least 10%-15% cheaper compared to continental, Michelin or Bridgestone.
7. Noise is just average , not too loud, but little noisy compared to other big brand tyre . But still in acceptable level
8. Lack of comfort , Due to hard side wall these tyre sacrifice on comfort a little bit but still within acceptable level .

Tyres was OK but just at it's 8th month started to crack all over. Turkey very hot place and I think this tire not suits here.
