Given 87% while driving a SEAT Leon TDi 130 (195/50 R15 V) on mostly motorways for 33,000 average miles
Have decided to review these tyres as they have just done over 30,000 miles and still have tread on them.

Got them to replace some Uniroyal Rainsports (which I thought were very good in the wet and dry but did wear quite quickly). The tyre place didn't have any so suggested the Goodrich.

They were about £60 a corner for 4 tyres.

Just had car serviced and tyres swapped front to back for the 3rd time. Fronts are now 4mm (were on the back) and rears 3mm. Got them switched every 10,000 miles. Wasn't sure how long ago I had got them and then realsied that they have done 33,000 miles (over 2.5 years). Really please and realised I really don't drive the car that hard.

Found the tyres good in the dry and not bad in the wet - with 3/4mm now they are noticeably less grippy and spin up the fronts if I stick my toe down.

Used to be very sure footed but now thinking they may need to go as it is winter. If it were spring (dry roads for a few months) I would keep them on but with wet/cold weather coming it may be time to change. Never thought I would consider changing tyres with 3 or 4mm of tread.

I am looking at the Uniroyal Rainsport 2's - although available there was a rumour of them being discontinued.

The Goodrich has been a good tyre for me with 30,000+ miles and the realisation that I am a Sunday driver! A good mid-range tyre, ideal for mid-size family car like a Golf, Astra, Focus. Good grip in dry/wet and bags of mileage if you only go quick in a straight line.....

I have a Seat Leon 2004 Tdi 130 if anyone has any suggestions that won't break the bank.

Given 80% while driving a Volkswagen Passat 1.9TDi Sport Estate (Chipped) (205/60 R15 H) on a combination of roads for 5,000 spirited miles
Great in slush & on muddy roads and pretty good in snow and cut through a reasonable depth of standing water. Easy round bends, especially in the dry. Only once suffered a serious loss of traction & that was going round a new roundabout after light rain following quite lengthy dry spell. May well have been a diesel spill or extreme greasiness on new road surface; good fun though.
They're a bit noisy, but well balanced & good sidewall rigidity. Tread seems to sit well on the road.
Had them on for 3 months through some interesting weather & they have done well. Replaced Bridgestones which were great most of the time but lousy in the snow.
