Falken EUROALL SEASON AS210

The Falken AS210 has a new V-shaped pattern with deeper grooves for enhanced water distribution, thus optimising performance in both wet and dry conditions and maximising aquaplaning resistance. Compared to its predecessor, the new EUROALL SEASON AS210 has improved aquaplaning characteristics by 8% and wet braking by 6%. During travel, the sipes align themselves to the direction of traction to enhance force transmission and provide outstanding grip in all weathers including snow. Thanks to these multidirectional sipes, braking performance has been further improved, particularly on snowy roads. Using Advanced 4D-Nano Design technology to develop the compound, Falken succeeded in increasing the mileage of the EUROALL SEASON AS210 by 10% compared to its predecessor.

2023 Tyre Reviews All Season Tyre Test - 7th of 12 tyres

  • Positive - Good handling in the dry, short wet braking distances, good around the wet handling lap.
  • Negative - Extended dry braking, poor aquaplaning resistance, weaker in the snow, highest rolling resistance on test.
  • Overall - The Falken Euroall Season AS210 finished in 7th place. I liked this tyre in the dry, even if it didn't give the most feedback, and it's wet performance was good, however it couldn't keep up in the snow and had the highest rolling resistance on test. Not a bad tyre, but perhaps a tyre more suited to a milder winter climate.

2022/23 Tyre Reviews All Season Tyre Test - 6th of 10 tyres

  • Positive - Lowest internal noise on test, good snow traction and wet handling.
  • Negative - Average grip in the snow and the dry, low aquaplaning resistance, very high rolling resistance.
  • Overall - The Falken Euroall Season AS210 finishes in sixth with a very similar overall performance and score to the Vredestein - in fact the Vredestein and Falken were so close their places swap in each score weighting. Like the Vredestein it was most at home in the wet, and like the Vredestein its snow performance couldn't match the best, or even the average of the group. It also had a high rolling resistance but it did however have the lowest internal noise.

Given 87% while driving a Skoda (185/55 R15) on a combination of roads for 250 average miles
These tyres do give a very comfortable ride, amazing grip in both the wet and dry, but they really are very noisy and have a very high rolling resistance, I would not recommend them for a low powered small car, and I would not buy them again.

Given 88% while driving a Skoda fabia 3 hatchback (215/45 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 1 easy going miles
I bought these Falken AS210 tyres in November 2018 but have not yet had an opportunity to use them on ice or snow. What I have noticed is that the grip appears far better than the Bridgestone Turanza ER300 summer tyres that originally came on the car (a Skoda Fabia). I have a long steep driveway (90'; 1 in 6) and reversing up it in my Skoda Fabia on the Bridgestone tyres was not the smoothest as the car shuddered on the way up (in reverse). I thought this was because the car had a small engine but with the Falken AS210 tyres reversing up the drive is no problem and far smoother.
In terms of mileage, to date I seem to be averaging about 2 miles per gallon less on the Falkens than on the Bridgestones but as I have only driven circa 1,500 miles so far on the Falkens I would treat this comparison only as 'indicative' at this time. The ride strikes me as being a little firmer on the Falken tyres while the noise levels appear similar to those I experienced with the Bridgestone tyres..

Given 78% while driving a Daihatsu coure (165/70 R13) on mostly town for 5,000 average miles
Compared to Nokian Weatherproof tyres it replaced it was a huge improvement in dry grip. The tyres actually have more grip, than the construction can handle and the tyres roll onto the sidewall under hard cornering, this is only an issue in the dry, but it is also the caused by 165/70 size, with extreme tall sidewall. But the breaking is super impressive, I drove it back to back in the wet with Michelin pilot Sport 2 tyres on a Mercedes CLS 350 CDI and the little Daihatsu had a far superior braking performance, which surprised me. It is quiet until you start to push it, and is super comfortable.

Extremely disappointed by these tyres considering it was a cheap budget Tyre these are replacing. Worst road noise of any Tyre I’ve ever owned! But the worst of it is the mpg, I lost a staggering 6mpg after fitting these tyres! Taking straight off & buying something better

Given 79% while driving a Saab Automobile 9 3 1.8t SportCombi (215/55 R16) on mostly town for 650 easy going miles
This is an initial review after 1000km / 650 miles. As my old Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 winter tyres are past their life and my Michelin Primacy 4 summer tyres have only one summer left in them, I have decided to take a chance with All-Season tyres and these Falkens were my final selection after watching several Tyre Reviews videos on Youtube.

+ I live in Lithuania where some winters get LOTS of snow, ice, and -20C temperatures and some winters are nothing more than a slightly colder Fall with minimal amounts of snow. This year (2022/2023 Winter), December was pretty brutal with heavy amounts of snow and ice, some of the worst conditions in the past 5 years. Fortunately, Falkens beat whatever nature threw at them. No problems driving through thick snow or pure ice, the car does not slide around and whenever I tried having some fun at the parking lots (purely for testing) the tires didn't let me do that, because whenever I tried to drift, at the very minimal sliding Falkens automatically "corrected" the car so I could describe this experience as driving on train tracks, safe and stable. In my 10 years of driving I have never had a better grip nor never did I feel as safe as I feel right now during winter.

+ In dry or wet conditions (October/November) tyres feel as good, and they are very comfortable to drive (I do feel like they are better in comfort than Primacy 4, though are louder). The car drives smoothly like a cruise ship and remains super nimble when turning up the aggression.

- The weak point of these tyres is fuel economy. If fuel economy is something you prioritize, I would recommend looking at other options. These tyres have high rolling resistance so fuel consumption jumps quite a bit. In my experience, it jumped by 2-3 liters per 100km which is quite noticeable especially when you look at the dashboard. Worse than Hakkapeliitta R2 winters, and much worse than Primacy 4 summers.

In Lithuania, All-Season tyres are still not recommended by the mass and are considered unsafe, especially in the brutal winter conditions we do get now and then, but these Falkens have their arguments as to why they are good. I've seen so many people driving with WINTER tyres and struggling on pure ice or snow while my driving experience felt like driving an amphibious car.

Given 90% while driving a Mercedes Benz C180K Avantgarde (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 1,000 easy going miles
After installing falken on my second car (the first review was about a clio tourer), i state that these are the perfect tyres for worn tarmac (you know, the one found in city centres). Dry grip is perfect from the first kilometre, so as wet grip. Nothing to complain about. Maybe the steering response is a bit vag, in contrast with the pilot sport 4. Tyres performe great and do not need to be warmed up. The easily interventing and annoying ABS (and skidding) when braking with the pilots, is totally disapeard, and i finally enjoy my car, and feel safe again. Next time i will buy them again,(if they are still in production), but definitely i will not buy an ultra high performance tyre again, as they never warm up in my routine trips (even though my car has the original sport pack with 4-cylinder callipers).

Renault Clio IV Sport Tourer 1.5 DCI (195/55 R16) on a combination of roads for 200 easy going miles
Although i have run only 300km on these tires, first impressions are excellent. Breaking response on dry but slippery- worn greek roads is impressive, so as steering response. On wet roads, they behave equally good. The tire is really quite, but so all new tires are. I will install them also at my second car (mercedes with a larger profile).

I bought Falken EuroAll Season AS210 tyres in November 2021 to use them as winter tyres. The first impresion was that the tyres was noisy compare to michelin primacy 4. In addition I noticed about +1 litre / 100km in fuel consumpion. But I think tsose facts are absolutly normal. Dry grip and handling is fine, haven’t noticed any negatives. The biggest advantage of that tyres is that you will have not any problem on snow or ice. I drove them on 1inch of fresh snow, no problem. I drove them on 3 inches of icy snow, no problem. I drove them on icy road, no problem. I am impressed. I'm very happy with them, and would definitely buy them again (as winter tyres).

These tyres replaced the Continental ContiSport 5 which were fitted as new on the car. So far all good, they offer good comfort and I have noticed a difference in road noise this far. I have mainly driven on Motorways in dry and wet conditions, no real noticeable extra or lower grip this far but the temperatures have been circa 19c. Interested to see how they perform as we go into Autumn and Winter here in the North West of England. Will add another review during November after the weather changes and the Winter element of the tyre should start to out perform that of a Summer tyre in lower temperature ranges.

Had these for a couple of months now. They replaced Vredestein Quatrac 5s (terrific tyre). These were cheaper and readily available and I thought they would be a compromise compared to the Vredestein but I was desperate for new tyres for the MOT test. However I’ve been impressed. They seem a little quieter. Dry grip and handling is fine, haven’t noticed any negatives. In the wet they are very reassuring, plenty of grip. Confident they’ll be fine in winter snow. Really pleased with my choice,

A good tyre on dry roads, but on wet and icy roads they behave wonderfully on my car. The AS210 is a more winter oriented tyre, handling is a bit vague when it's very hot outside, but braking is strong in all circumstances. I bought them for an 190E I mostly drive around town and on short roadtrips, so I could not justify having two sets of tyres. That being said, they didn't let me down even when I tried a bit of spirited driving.

Given 93% while driving a BMW 530dA M sport Touring (225/45 R17 V) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
So these replaced the truly horrendous FullRun P2000 run flats that the previous owner put on the car (probably to sell it to me). They had a few miles left and the chap who changed them asked if I wanted to keep them. I said they were the invention of Satan, he said, 'Yep - that's why we don't sell them'. Suffice to say the car is transformed, I suspect now drives more like how the original designer had in mind. It no longer wants to go sideways with a gentle accelerate off a roundabout, and the silence - wow its definitely golden. I can still quite easily make the back drift out, but its now much much much more controlled and catchable as a result. Dry and wet grip are fantastic - not tried out in Snow/Ice yet. My previous experience of Falkens on a Volvo 850 T5 is a good one, and these look like they will be the same in terms of grip, wear and progressiveness. They aren't runflats - these are also the work of the devil - and as a result the ride is far less crashy. Its good to feel confident in a car again - thank you Falken.

Given 96% while driving a Mazda RX8 (225/45 R18) on a combination of roads for 8,000 spirited miles
I have run these for several seasons now on my RX-8 (they make perfect "UK Winter" tyres!), a car rather sensitive to tyre choice if you want to maintain the excellent handling. I think they're fantastic - grip in cold wet/damp conditions feels almost as good as UHP tyres do in the summer - which is phenomenal for a tyre that can also actually deal with snow & ice! Wear seems excellent - I haven't even noticed any thus far, though I do only run them during the winter months. The price/performance ratio is insane - normally tyres in my size/fitment are rather expensive, but these were a good chunk cheaper than any other decent all-season/winter tyre I could find - a bargain really. I'm very happy with them, and would definitely buy them again, if I ever need to (going to be a while at this rate!). I'm a fairly spirited driver, and these inspire so much confidence in cold/damp conditions, that I find myself chucking the car about and having almost as much fun as I do in the dry with summer tyres, except in conditions that would otherwise make summer tyres squirm. Very impressive! Wet grip is amazing - I just push on as if it was dry and barely notice any difference. I can just drive, whatever the conditions, and not worry about losing grip unexpectedly if I decide to have a bit of fun. Exactly what you want for most of the year in the UK climate. They also perform very well in warm wet conditions - I've used them a few times as "get me home" wheels from track days in the summer in torrential rain with no problems. In the cold dry, there is still plenty of grip too, but obviously not as much as a good summer tyre at that point, but still very impressive for an all-season tyre, and more than adequate for some spirited dry winter driving. Obviously the warmer it gets, the more apparent the difference to a proper summer tyre gets, but they are still perfectly usable all year round if necessary. The sidewalls are a little bit squidgier, as expected, but the handling is still pretty good for this type of tyre, all things considered. I have the "XL" variants, which I think helps - a nice compromise between still maintaining some stiffness for handling, but also significantly more comfortable and forgiving than my usual UHP summers, nice for more relaxed winter driving. This is exactly what I wanted - something a little more comfortable for winter but still reasonably sporty feeling when you want it. Of course, sods law - as soon as I bought these I haven't experienced any snow whatsoever (even had a few long trips up to Scotland, but not even a flurry!). Like buying a sledge. So unfortunately, I haven't been able to put them to the test in that regard. However, given how well they perform in all other conditions, I have full confidence that they will handle snow no problem. The closest I've gotten is some very cold frosty mornings, which these tyres deal so well with, that it almost makes you forget you're even driving in adverse conditions. Bravo. P.S. Tyre reviews really need to separate out the dry and wet grip ratings into cold and warm for winter/all-season tyres!
