Given 74% while driving a Fiat Punto 1.2 8v (185/60 R14 H) on mostly town for 5,000 average miles
These came with a set of used alloys, and I was prepared to be terrified. However, they are really not that bad. I have a pair on the front of the Punto, so they don't have to put very much power down! They are acceptably quiet and comfortable on terrible roads, they have acceptable levels of grip in the dry and in the wet weather we are having even on roundabouts. I have proxes cf1 on the back as it is a very light car and it needs grip. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised by the Nankangs, but probably not good for a car with a lot of power.

Given 29% while driving a Alfa Romeo 156 1.6 TS (185/65 R15 H) on a combination of roads for 3,000 average miles
Absolutely the worst tyres I've ever had. Even in the dry they squeal like a banshee at the slightest provocation. In the wet they wheelspin at t-junctions (normal acceleration, not pushing it) and are extremely dangerous when cornering (understeer) unless you crawl around at 20 miles per hour. I would never recommend these tyres to anyone else.

Concur with a lot of the reviews on this website about these tyres. They were cheap (£140 for 4), and perform adequately in the dry. But they gave me very little confidence about them in the wet and I would not go out when it was snowing or icy as they offered virtually no grip at all. Fortunately my fast driving days are over which is just as well, because performance wise these don't cut the mustard. They wear well though, done 31,000 miles on front (just replaced) and there is still some meat (possibly another 10,000 miles)on the rears. Replaced with Toyo Proxes and the difference is quite noticeable as you would expect with fresh tyres. Too early to report on these replacements, but the grip in the wet especially is much better.

Given 46% while driving a MINI Cooper (175/65 R15) on a combination of roads for 6,000 spirited miles
My contention is this:
If you're a normal, everyday driver then these tyres will be ok in the dry. Nothing spectacular but they'll get you from A to B. In the wet though, be very careful. These tyres are dangerously bad. If you care about safety, spend a few extra dollars and buy a better tyre. Those four little patches of rubber are the only form of contact your car has with the road, so look for a good tyre to ensure your car stays on the road.
--

When I was purchasing my car the original tyres were unroadworthy, so the owner fitted new tyres as part of the deal. She understandably went for the cheapest option and fitted these.

I ran these Tyres on a Mini Cooper for 6 months through an array of conditions. In the dry they do the job. They are predictable, just not capable. The sidewall flexes tremendously. If you go around a corner at any pace the tyre flexes and you end up driving on the edge of the tyre. The tyres will squeal around a roundabout unless you go at learner driver speeds. Because of this tyre wear has been incredibly uneven. The outside corners of the front tyres are heavily worn, whereas the centre of the tread is fine. More sensible drivers will perhaps not encounter this issue, but if you appreciate performance driving at all, these tyres will be a dramatic hindrance to the performance of your car.

In the wet, I must attest, these tyres are dangerously bad. Even when creeping slowly around a corner, understeer is shocking. You don't need to be driving quickly. Any touch of the throttle, the tyres will lose grip completely and the car will continue going straight ahead. You don't need to be driving quickly for this to happen. I was caught off guard with understeer many times. Be alert with these tyres in the wet. Preferably avoid them at all costs.

bought 4x for 140 last summer. I really disappointed by the performance they deliver. Really dangerous when going around any roudabout. The rubber was tough hence the rolling noise was more than average. In heavy rain they lost grip and after a shocking skidding experience I put Bridgestone All Weather(220 for four tyres) and they are supplended. I've learnt my lesson and now advising every sensible person who is going to buy these s**tkong tyres.
Don't put yourself on risk just for the sake of some extra money.

Given 33% while driving a Vauxhall Vectra (185/60 R14 H) on mostly town for 600 easy going miles
I fitted a set of these to my Vauxhall Astra Estate and to the front of my wifes vauxhall Vectra. I can only describe these tyres as dangerous. Dry weather is ok on the straight but go round a round a-bout and you feel the tyre bend and move. Wet weater on the straight are maybe just below average but for gods sake if going round a corner or round a-bout in the wet or even slightly damp then you need to slow to a crawling pace. They just slide unless driving like a over cautious learner 120 yr old woman.

I have been getting my tyres from the same tyre centre for the last 12 years and have got the garage lots of customers in that time including supplying tyres for the 6 vans the company i work for. After 3 weeks i went back to the garage with my wifes Vectra, explained the problems. He checked the wear on the tyre and after just 600 miles the tread dropped by 1mm. He checked the cars steering n suspension all of which were fine. He asked how they were on my Astra Estate and i told him exactly the same problems. Now, as i said i have been using the same tyre centre for 12 years and he gets lots of business via my good word so he has now taken the 2 front tyres off the Vectra and the 4 off the Astra Estate and replaced them all for UniRoyal Rainexpert and charged me a mere £5 per tyre as a replacement to say sorry. I spoke to the manager since and he no longer stocks the Nankang XR11 due to so many customers complaining about them.

Given 87% while driving a Toyota Corolla (195/60 R15 H) on a combination of roads for 260,000 spirited miles
I thought these were an excellent tyre for the money. I only paid around ??120.00 for the four. I drive hard, and had Nokia's on before. I was really suprised at how good they were.

Made a nice change to get good value for a change on tyres.
