Bridgestone Battlax BT 023 rated 87% while driving a Honda CB600F FA ABS
Driving on mostly town for 10 spirited miles
My Honda CB600F ABS Hornet came with Michelin Pilots as original fitment - I was never happy with these so junked them early for a pair of BT021's as they suited my previous Fazer 600 very well. I've been riding for 50 years and still ride every day racking up about 8K miles a year. I have NEVER had a set of tyres so completely transform the feel of a bike (for the better). Not only was the feedback and grip massively improved, it felt like the suspension had had a major work-over. These were replaced in due course by the BT023 which improved things even more. They work as part of the suspension and comfort levels are increased as well as longevity. Grip and stability are faultless, wet or dry. Even on snow they have been the best tyre I have used.
My latest bike is an Aprilia shiver SL750 GT and I will be choosing the BT023 again.

Bridgestone Battlax BT 012 rated 39% while driving a Honda
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
These tyres come fitted as standard to Honda CBR600FA. In the dry they are ok but in wet and cold they are abysmal. I came off after a slide in wet conditions, luckily not too much damage to the bike, doing around 35mph only. They are the poorest tyres I have used in over 20years and not suited to average Uk conditions. I have changed to Michelin PR3 which are excellent and the difference in wet conditions was noticeable immediately.
Do not buy and if you have these, only ride on hot summer dry days.

Pirelli Diablo Rosso rated 30% while driving a Ducati Monster 796
Driving on mostly country roads for 1500 average miles
I couldn't agree more with honda rider who said it suddenly lets gor. I mean, when the surface gets cold, you are literally all over the place. I got them as standard on a Ducati Monster 796 and the damn thing just doesn't give you the propper grip unless the conditions are perfect ie. rough and hot and DRY!!! sufrace. The other day I was caught in a heavy rain and let me tell you that it wasn't pleaseant. I was doing about 10 mph when braking very lightly for the intersection and the bike just would't stop. I have to thant luck alone for not falling. I cannot give a propper feedback on wear though, because I've only done about 1500 miles.
Do I recommend the tires? Absolutely not!!!
