Replacing primacy 3 which are MUR 6600
The hankook v12 evo 2 are MUR 4130
Didnt buy hankooks before cause of bad review but
they seem to have solved issues through evolution 2
primacy 3 could be rotated only front to rear but
V12 evo 2 can be rotated left to right.
changed front 2 and when turanza GR90 are done behind
will replace with v12 evo 2

I put 4 of these on brand new. Still have about 4mm in the rear after 15k. The fronts are done and having them replaced this weekend so I thought this would be a good point to write a full review.

What I loved when these were new was the edge wear indicators. There are 2 sets of round indicators which run along both of the edges of the tyre. Also since they are symmetrical you can rotate them with ease, although i never bothered.

When they were new, the grip in dry and wet was amazing. I could turn a sharp corner without easing off the gas too much. As they wore, the grip for spirited driving got lower but only by about 15%. The fronts are now being changed and I want to try a different tyre but I would definitely buy these again. Even though the grip gets a bit lower as it wears, I have never been let down in wet, dry or emergency situations. Hankook have done a great job here.

The tread pattern is amazing and really suits the car.

Fantastic tyres. Put these on my Impreza 10,000miles ago and reckon there's another 5000miles in them. Grip is superb in wet and dry, reasonably firm ride but still quiet. Would recommend and will fit again.

I firstly had these on my 2000 Astra which was drive like it was stolen! They never let me down on either wet or dry roads. I then swapped them on to my 2004 Zafira DTi which also gets pushed to its limit and they perform brilliantly! I will confess they do wear quickly but then with my driving style I expect that. I honestly wouldn't consider a different brand!

Given 83% while driving a (225/45 R17) on for 0 miles
Replaced my 235x45x17 Continental Sport Contact 5P with these. In my view a better tyre at a significantly cheaper price. Excellent grip, especially on acceleration braking and cornering in the dry. Noise not an issue.

Would recommend.

Given 83% while driving a Skoda Yeti (225/50 R17) on mostly country roads for 2,000 easy going miles
I was looking for a softer, quieter tyre for my Yeti to replace the Vredstiens I had on previously as the Yeti can be a bit harsh wehn running on the 17" rims.

Sadly these tyres are not particularly quiet nor are they particularly soft / comfortable, however they handle so supremely I actually don't care! The turn-in and responsiveness of the tyres is superb and they handle standing water and aquaplaning superbly.

So, I did not get the tyres I was wanting but what I have got I am more than happy with....a little more rigidity and noise than I hoped for buy a superb handling and confidence inspiring tyre. The jury is out on wear but I will update my review once I know how many miles I expect to get from them.

Great tyre.

Given 49% while driving a Volkswagen mk4 Golf R32 (225/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 5,000 spirited miles
Horrifically bad at everything.
sidewall crumbled after a couple thousand miles and they were the ''XL'' version.
I shudder to think what the non XL ones were like.
They felt plastic and sketchy.

Given 81% while driving a Ford Focus MK3 (235/40 R18 W) on mostly motorways for 20,000 spirited miles
These tyres are very good for both the price and quality from Hankook. On dry roads they have great grip and on wet, they handle nicely and I can feel confident when braking or cornering when raining. The ride is good, often a little too firm but I mostly drive on motorways so it's not too bad, on bad country roads though they aren't as comfy, but for 18's they are fine.
The only problem is the wear, which isn't great. I've has these tyres for just under a year and already they need replacing both front and rear. Although I drive a lot of motorways at high speeds, the wear is the worst part.
With all that said they are a great tyre for the price add offer great grip and fuel mpg if minded and I would recommend to others.

front tyres are v12 evos at 6mm tread, both have split on sidewalls very badly 2mm deep about 250mm long and garage has told me to change asap and drive very steady. I rang Hankook they told me it was my driving caused this and to go back to the garage i bought the car from!!!!! I check my pressures montly. Hankocks not interested atall to test them or ask for batch number...so in summary dangerous< hankook not interested and 2 tyres need changing after 2mm of use. would i buy again no way back to Toyo T1R's.

Given 86% while driving a Alfa Romeo (225/45 R17 W) on mostly motorways for 23,000 spirited miles
I was skeptical about buying these tyres as Alfa's are notorious at being hard on tyres, I did a lot of research prior to buying these tyres, as the previous ones I put on the front end were Avon ZVS which were very good but a hard tyre and only got 17k miles from them.
The Evo tyres took a while to scrub in, but once they did they gave good response when cornering in the dry and in the wet I could not believe the grip they provided. Most of my travel are on motorways, but through country roads they are just as enjoyable. I would recommend these tyres again, and now I am looking to replace them, I will put on a new front set of these again.
