I've been closely following Jonathans recommendations for summer tyres, but I'm not always after outright grip. I had the V105 tyres on a GT86 and absolutely loved them for their progressive nature at the limit, and therefore how playful they were.

The V107 feels similar, if a little higher outright grip. Difficult to unstick on the road but perhaps this'll change with a few miles on them.

On track in the dry, these really surprised me, their relatively high grips levels didnt drop off even after 15 minutes - impressive for a road tyre! They also didnt melt, however the central rib of the tyre showed a wedge effect - unclear whether this was lack of camber (2.3deg), or running slightly too high pressure (32hot).

They provide excellent feedback, so you know whats coming - even at moderate road speeds.

They have relatively high noise on the motorways however, so don't expect a comfy touring tyre like the PS4, but the tradeoff is the feedback/communication is better.
They feel similar to the Premium Contact 6 (but grippier, however this could be because they're new), but weirdly , quieter! Loved the PC6 for dynamics (even stiffer sidewall on PC6, says my tyre fitter), but they didnt last so well on track so i'll be sticking with the V107 for a while as a great dual purpose tyre.

Haven't pushed on in the wet yet, but seem fine on the road and inspire confidence.

Would recommend the V107 for those who value feedback and being progressive at the limit! I'll update this as more miles get on them.

Great on dry roads or track, with great resistance to heat on track for a road tyre.
Excellent feed-back on steering!
They are a bit sketchy on wet cold roads.
I did a pretty long track day with them and around 5'000km on the road, they have around 5'000km left.

Great winter tyre nothing bad to say about it, great all rounder on a sporty car.
After around 20'000km they got 5mm left, the only bad thing is the increased price, next winter i think i will get Pirelli's Cinturato Winter 2.

I really enjoy the Potenza Race on my GR86. As you say, great reactive steering, not too noisy and they go around the track very well! I was going to use the OEM PS4 for street use but I hate how soft they feel so I run the Potenza Race on street too and they work great. Of course in the winter I will switch to proper winter tires. I have not driven extensively in rain but the rain I've driven in didn't cause any issues or felt unsafe.
I do have some wear on the outer shoulders from running on the track, but it might be because I'm running a moderate amount of camber for track use (slightly less than -3 degrees. On a McPherson strut I probably need closer to 4 degrees. But since its mixed usage I think it's going to even out over the life of the tires.)

Driving on mostly country roads for 8000 spirited miles
Good level of feedback compared to PS4, allows confidence to push on at and around the limit and is a fun tyre.
Have also used on track in Anglesey in the pouring rain and it handled superbly, way more grip there than expected and plenty of warning when about to take liberties. Not sure it'll take too much beating in the dry in terms of wear but overall exceptionally good. Would recommend if you like good feedback in a tyre. Quite noisey though!
