I was dubious about buying these tyres but went for it and have not regretted it. Reviews saying that they are no good is rubbish. if you drive everywhere like you are on a track then maybe, but i go around twisty roads in my 220hp front wheel drive mini which can always be a handful with no worries. wet or dry . if you drive like a **ck then these maybe are not for you , but normal people and the occasional b road sunday make you feel better driver will have no probs. Why pay 3 times as much for tyres that you will never take to the edge.

Used them before and great in dry, outstanding wear they are very tough tyres and give good resistance to punctures and pot hole damage. However in the wet with tread worn they will skid at 25 to 30 mph! wear indicators still not level so this gives you an idea they need sorted. Still best prices for a 19.

I purchased a 12 month old car which had both front Tyres replaced with Acellera PHI Tyres. These tyres were acceptable in the dry but horrendous in any form of reduced grip situation. The problems were most noticeable on braking in damp or wet weather. What would be considered normal braking (I am not a heavy braker) would cause the wheels to loose traction and the ABS kick in. I would suggest these in wet circumstances had a braking distance of at least double if not more of a premium tyre in the situation.

Unfortunately after about 2000 miles on these tyres I felt so unsafe on the road that I decided to replace them with a premium brand tyre. If you want to save some money and are happy to no rely on your brakes in anything other than perfect dry conditions these tyres are for you. Unfortunately if you value your safety I cannot recommend these tyres at all.

I brought this tires 4yrs ago to put on my 2004 crossfire, now living in the Seattle area we get plenty of rain no doubt this tires hold up when its wet out also good dry road grip I'm 9000 miles into them and cant believe the stamina of these tires my other cars have coopers on them the coopers are a little more quiet ride but the accelera phi are a good bang for the buck....

Over the years I have paid £175 for similar sized Yokohama or Falcon tyres and I simply can't see any difference in performance or wear.
At £55 a tyre online for 19" tyres you simply can't go wrong. Dealers quoting about £85. Icant believe some of the reviews on here as I've nothing bad to say about them.
I have used Accelera PHI on my 2008 BMW 730 for over 2 years. I do 15,000 a year and am about to put my third set on the front. The rears had the 2nd set about 6 months ago. They are good for 12-15k miles, just the same as the top end tyres. I drive at legal speeds (Mostly) but the tyres are fine at high speeds and when flooring it.
I've been driving for 20 years, and have always gone for Mid Range Tyres as I thought this was a sensible compromise. But I will always buy these tyres going forward. Win Win all round.

I bought these tyres for all four wheels they are super cheep compared to the ones I replaced and they are amazingly good I will definitely buy again.
the Bridgestone tyres was replaced with Accelera PHI and they perform better in everyway.
all these people that are calling them ditchfinders most be going past the capability of the tyres which you can do with any tyre.

For the price this is a good tyre. In the dry grip is equivalent premium brands, however the lack of feedback and occasional slides in the wet do not encourage you to push your luck in the rain/standing water. I believe in a magazine test the tyre showed inferior (longer) braking distances in the wet but it is very difficult to tell this in reality.

For the average driver these are adequate and at the price they are good value.

The rubber must be quite a hard compound as tyre wear has been slow.

I have just come to the end of my second set of these tyres. I find them comfortable, the handling is good, they grip well but not quite as good as the Michelin Sport my car came fitted with. Especially in the wet the Accelera tyres can't match the Michelin. But the Accelera are 47 quid a tyre against 229 for the Michelin! On top of that I get 22000 miles out of the front tyres compared to only 12000 for the Michelin. On the rear the figures are 30000 compared to 16000!! So a tyre that last twice as long and is 4 times cheaper can not be argued with! I drive a Citroen DS4 2.0 HDI 160 and have found these tyres very good. I have never been in a dangerous situation as other reviews have made out. Yes they can spin a bit if I put my foot down but that is down to the torque my engine produces, not because the tyres are not grippy. I drive B and A roads mainly and do 22000 miles a year. My driving style is average and stick to the national speed limits. I would highly recommend these tyres if you're looking for a good looking, comfortable, cheap tyre that lasts well! If you're a speed devil then these tyres are probably not for you!!!

I purchased 2 of these as an expirement because I had to run some stretch on my rears due to my low offset rims. I rather try out some cheap tires than expirement with some Nitto Invos and trash those. I was pleased when I first got them. They have good grip on dry surfaces. But once they get wet, they are SCARY! Worst grip on a wet toad I have ever experienced. I live in central Texas, and it's been raining quite a bit as of late. If you live in desert areas like Phoenix or Las Vegas, I would probably recommend this tire since it doesn't rain much there. But if you live in areas where you actually get rain, stay away from these. I've had my butt puckered a few times on these.

Normally I wouldn't bother giving an opinion on anything unless there is a serious problem. Well these tyres have a serious problem, after a recent tyre check I found one tyre had lost some pressure so went to servo to pump tyre up it was then that I noticed what looked like a cut had been placed around the outer circumference of the tyre. On closer inspection on all four tyres we found that all the tyres had the same cut mark,
The cut mark turned out to be a crack around the outside rim of the tyre just under where the tread starts there seems to be a rubber protrusion just at the edge of the crack, it is about 1mm x1mm and all four tyres have cracked at this same exact point and from a quick glance It is nearly unnoticeable and that is from the outside so from the inside of the wheel on the car you would not see it at all.
What was evident on closer inspection was that the crack line was clean as in the outside of the tyre was dirty from road grime but inside the crack it was just like new rubber been cut with a knife ( my first thoughts but it is just too neat it would have to be done on a machine or a design fault.)
These cracks appeared over a three week period I am guessing and are as much as 6-8mm deep. My opinion is these tyres are a death trap just waiting to happen and I could not sleep at night if I didn't say something to someone.

Please someone look into the manufacturer of these tyres and save some lives.........please

I am from Australia and from what I can gather they have no warranty here and that would not help the people that were killed when one of these tyres let go!!! They are load and speed rated and apparently meet Aussie standards....??? What is wrong with this world.

Absolutely rubbish! Been on just over a year and have already cracked all the way around the rims on every tyre. Living on the traction control on wet roundabouts in THIRD gear!!! AVOID THESE TRYES AT ALL COSTS! You will kick yourself if you put these on anything heavier than pushbike! Vague to zero feedback from the tyres in the dry. Swapping them for Michelin latitudes before the end of the week!

I've a rear wheel drive V6 and these tyres are average in the dry and a complete waste in the wet.
They came already fitted to the car, so thought I'd give them a go. Jut ordered some Pirelli as I'm so unimpressed.
They don't age well, they have gone a dull rubber look after only a couple of months (about 3000 miles), so they spoil the look of the car. (yes I clean and detail).
In the dry, they're ok. Not great, but ok.
In the wet they're a complete nightmare. Having a torque'y rear wheel drive car means you have to slow right down. I have to go slower than 1 litre Micra exiting a roundabout, they offer no grip at all on a damp road. The traction control light is constantly on, even when in safe mode.
these tyres would suit a company car on a commuter route. They'll do the job at a great price, so for those drivers and aspects I would recommend.
For a car with any grunt or even any rear wheel drive car I would avoid like the plague in the UK. They're not for twisty roads, roundabouts or even a hint of moisture
