Great tyre overall, i have them on a clio and i find they have brilliant grip in the dry and i felt a controlable grip in the wet. my car is lowered 60mm and that would make them wear alot quicker but i find i get a good few miles from them at a quality price!

Ok, so I have put a little over 12,000miles on the N3000 tires and the 2 in front need to be changed ASAP, you can already see the thread. Im not sure if it was the tires or what, but they are dead already. The 2 in back are fine though...contacting nexen and ifs it not the tires I would buy again.

I upgraded my car from 16" to 17" wheels and decided on these Nexen N3000 tires based on the price and looks along with a few reviews i had seen. I rotate them about every 5k-6k miles and i haven't had any problems on dry or wet roads. My intrepid is huge for it's size and during turns and hard corners the tires responds great with no slipping at all. I'm not sure whats going on with the other people with these tires, but i'm pretty impressed with these tires and will be purchasing another set in about 30,000 more miles.

not bad for the money, dry grip is good but wet grip is less impressive. i think my car deserves better. i'll go for more expensive branded tyres next time.

When I got the car it had Nexen all round and had done say 10,000 miles - I got another 10,000 out of the fronts and the backs have now done an additional 20,000. The Dry grip is good and tyres are responsive if a little harsh on ride. THE PROBLEM is that in the wet they were awful. Fronts would break away on damp roads at cornering (even low speeds) and backs spin on damp etc when pulling away. Mileage was very impressive but the wet weather performance has put me off buying again. Nice looking tyre on the car though !!!!

Good value tyre - BUT...

The fuel economy has dropped *significantly*. I used to get 70 mpg on my work journey (11 miles, A roads): now even if I drive with a very light right foot I'm lucky to get 55. A definite drop in car performance too: is this just the tyres? Answer is - I don't know... but I went from (barely legal) Michelins to the Nexens, and changed nothing else. I will check the tracking/pressure but I am a little concerned that the softer compound hasn't helped.

Does stick reasonably well for its price - a little early to push to its limits but we shall see.

I did a lot of research before buying these Nexen n3000 boots. The general rating was that they're a budget tyre and "good for the price, but you get what you pay for"

3000 miles in I have to agree. They're not as sticky as some, and don't like a lot of standing water but for the price they're not that bad.

REALLY quiet too.

I probably wouldn't want to put them on a car with massive power but if you need a budget tyre for a warm hatch they're not bad.
