Fitted for the last two winters so I can at least get up my 30° drive in snow. If you fit these you must run them at proper snow tyre pressures (generally higher than summer tyre pressures). For the first winter I had them at normal pressures, and whilst generally OK and very good on snow and ice, the traction light came on every time you put my foot down. In the second winter with them at the proper pressures they were transformed, still very good on snow and ice but now like a soft compound track tyre on wet or dry tarmac, you can throw the car round corners like it is on rails (aloughing for the extra squirm you get from a winter tyre). They have now done 8000 miles and the rears will probally last another winter (although I will change them if we get heavy snow again) and the fronts a least another couple of winters. Running them at the correct pressure to begin with would probally have made them last longer. The only reason I would not buy these again is that I understand some other winter tyres are even better.

This was my first experience of winter tyres, and their performance was astonishing in deep snow, slush, and even hard-packed ice. No other car in our street had anything like the same level of traction

I was unaware of any difference in road noise over the standard tyres. I don't generally push the tyres to the limit, but not once did I have any issue with traction or grip in the wet or the dry.

Unable to comment on wear because they have only been on for one winter, and they will certainly go back onto the car next October. I am a convert!

I have driven with these tyres now since mid November, when I fitted 4. I can barely describe the transformation. Last winter the traction control light was flashing constantly, this year it barely flickers. Deep snow is no problem as my suspension raises up. I have driven through snow over a foot deep, going where even 4x4s cannot go. I have left lots of them floundering in my wake!
In 35 years of driving, I have never had such a transformation.
If you haven't got them, what are you waiting for?

Great tyre with great grip, better results than expected, especially in snow and ice - will always have winter tyres on in the winter!

Very good tyres. They make light work of deep snow and ice. You are able to pull away on banks covered with snow and ice no problem at all. An amazing thing about the tyres is their ability to accelerate normally. You get some curious looks too; of people wondering how he just did that in a normal car. The only thing that stops me is ground clearance.

One word - incredible.
I cannot describe the transformation of my car from uncontrollable sledge to go anywhere grip monster. Snow, ice, cold slush present no problems. The traction control light has barely flickered and the ABS has not kicked in one since fitting these tyres. Very pleased.

Made a huge difference to last winter when i had summer tyres on. Had about 25" of snow to date and haven't been stuck once even on uncleared roads. Ice is still a bit scarey...but then it would be for anything.

Last winter I drove from UK back to camp in Germany. In germany we have a lot more snow... and winter tyres are a common site on cars.
The journey i did is over 400miles. When i got back their was 3-4 foot of snow, and similar all across europe. The ICE TOURING Tyres were fantastic, the grip and confidence they give is well worth the cost outlay. ive covered about 3000miles on these tyres in snow and ice.
This year I have refitted the same tyres as they are NOT worn out. I would recommend to everyone to use these or any winter tyres. My father was so impressed he has now got these on his car.
Anyone that tells you that winter tyres dont work and are a waste of money< you can be sure they have never used them.. Why would it be LAW in Austria, latvia, Finland, Sweden and now Germany, if they did not work?

Given 93% while driving a Audi A3 Sportback (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 0 easy going miles
Had a pair of these fitted to an Audi A3 1.9 TDi 5 door 3 days ago - just as the snow arrived.

Last year the car was almost unusable in the snow and I never managed to get up the drive to our house. Yesterday I drove over 12" of packed snow up the 1:10 gradient without even slipping!! Went out again last night and returned after dark with the temperature at -3 and again not slipping.

I can't believe the difference in grip and am wondering why I didn't fit snow tyres before.

Could not handle deep snow. Excellent on ice light snow. The best wet weather tyres I have had. done 26k so far and still got 3 millitres left

Had 4 of these fitted to an Audi A4 S-Line B8 with automatic box. After 1 day of snow last year I was unable to get out of my street, the difference after fitting these tyres was amazing, done around 5,000 miles in them and about to put my summer tyres back on, will be fitting them again later this year when the temperature drops. Like driving a 4x4 now!
