Toyo Proxes T1 Sport Reviews

Given 84% (breakdown) while driving a Audi A4 TDi Quattro Sport (235-40-18-W)
Driving on mostly motorways for 5,000 average miles
Having had a range of premium branded tyres on my car over the last 4 years, money is a bit tighter and was recommended the Toyo T1 Sports and I am seriously impressed. They're not quite as grippy or responsive as Michelin Sports, but they are £50 per tyre cheaper. They seemed to take about 1000 miles to settle down and now after 5K covered I've found them to be excellent on dry & wet roads, quiet at motorway speeds, provides a comfort level certainly on par with Michelins and give strong reassurance under hard braking.

The grip is almost suicidal in wet conditions. In dry conditions it provides a fair grip with just a little bit of under-steer.
The tire is noisy in all conditions especially around 62 mph.
The tire wear is minimal and will last for many miles.

Driving on a combination of roads for 300 spirited miles
Absolutely f a n t a s t i c . Much much better than the old TIR'S. These new T1 SPORT'S.. are extremely rigid/ feel so solid. Bur they are not harsh.. like some Bridegstones. In fact it had RE040'S on before, and these TOYO'S are seriously better. At first, they feel a little less communicative than the RE40'S.. but when scrubbed in, after a couple of hundred miles or so.. good god, what tires !! I havn't been brave enough to find their limits yet. On some tarmac types.. they are noisy, but what the hell ! At 150mph.. the car feels 100% dead solid on the road. Really safe trustworthy tires. Havn't used em in the wet yet.. but they are supposed to be BETTER in the wet than the dry.. so lORD KNOWS what they will be like, when I eventually use in the wet, IF thet are this goood in the dry !!! The cornering with them on is miles better than the RE40'S.. which were supposed to be excellent on the 260'S !! Plus..the Tires look BIGGER, ie w i d e r than the RE40's on the car ( same size ). All in all.. the best Peformance Tires I have had.. and I have had the whole lot over the years. BUY EM !!!

I do have an aggressive driving style and do enjoy driving to the limits, these tyres give good positive grip in the dry enabling you to corner with confidence. When it comes to the wet it is a completely different story, turn in to quick massive under steer, accelerate to quick coming out of the corner wheel spin is all you will get! As for wear I've done 3000 ish miles and looking for my next set of fronts
