I don't know why there are some bad reviews for these tyres, I think they are excellent. I have been buying Uniroyal tyres for years, but living in Northern Ireland we experience a lot more wet weather than most of the UK.
Uniroyal tyres are made by Continental in Germany, so the quality is superb. Wet grip is phenomenal, dry grip is as good as Toyo Proxies. Luckily for me the celica gives excellent drivers feedback unlike a lot of these more modern cars.
My previous tyres were Pirelli Pzero's and before that I had a set of Falken's on but Uniroyal wet & dry grip is far superior!
I would say the only problem I have with these tyres is road noise, but that's more down to my car than the tyres.

Put these on my MK2 MR2 after suffering appalling handling on the tyres that were fitted when I bought the car a couple of years ago.
Unbelievable wet handling with no let downs and good in the dry too, any breakaway is progressive and controllable.(Did Welsh roads in the wet at unbelievable speeds, even though they are now down to about 3mm on the back) Not noticed any side wall flexing due to 40 profile. Tried them in fresh 3inches of snow one night and better than expected. Would I buy them again?...just try and stop me from doing so.

Bought these tyres because of the good write up on this site BUT the side walls are too soft and yes my car feels like a boat now....what a shame

After 500 miles I had to cut my losses and replace these. As a spirited driver these just didn't suit my car. I have never seen my traction control light come on as much in the dry.
If you want your car to feel like a boat these tyres are for you. Never again!

These tyres are fantastic.
In the dry on the limit they do start to feel a little a soft in the sidewall and the grip levels are very progressive even past the limit.
In the wet i personally feel that they are unstoppable. I have a big, powerful, diesel lump up the front of the car and these tyres manage the weight on wet roads without even so much of a wobble.
Drove from Bristol to Buxton in Dec 2010 where there was 4inches of snow on the roads, and not once did these let me down. They are far superior to the pirelli P Zero Nero i had before, quiter and a lot cheaper than the contisport contacts 2's & 3's.
Would i buy them again - Definately. I am on my third set on the front and second on the rear and will keep buying them as the car feels stable, planted and responsive.
Rolling resistance is pretty good and road noise is no worse than the others listed above. They are also well priced

These tyres are pretty poor. I actually only used them in the dry because I had them taken off my car quite quickly and never experienced them in the wet. To me it is no good being good in the wet if they are awful in the dry. I had them fitted on an Audi A4 which is a heavy car and the super grip just dramatically reduced my torque and made me feel like I was steering a boat. I think these tyres will be impressive if you are going round a track in the wet but you never are so they seem a bit pointless really. If you are afraid of the rain and don't enjoy driving you might quite like them!

I purchased these on the review from this site, Once fitted (to the rear) i quickly noticed the car didnt quite seem itself. Thinking i was goin mad i asked my father to drive the car and he agreed it just "didnt feel planted" and "feels boaty". The balancing tracking was all ok, so put the tyres onto the front, prevented the boatiness mostly so i then looked into the reason why..............i noticed that the sidewall of the tyre is only 1 ply where as my standard tyres and tyres that i had replaced were all two ply thus stiffer/less roll. Im sure these tyres would be perfect for some one who wasnt as "spirited" a driver.

Excellent wet tyres, not bad in the dry, and quite tyres on the motorway.
