Given 74% while driving a Toyota Avensis (195/60 R15 H) on a combination of roads for 50,000 spirited miles
Had these on my Avensis estate, they have lasted really well considering my often very hard cornering and accellerating (trained police driver). Very good in the wet and good in the dry too. When they do let go you know it is going to happen. Can't really fault them - they are not racing tyres, but they do a good job. Looking at some of the reviews here I think some people just need to know how to handle a car properly! Only downside is their price compared to others and they don't exactly look awsome, but then does that really matter?

In the dry, i found these absolutely awful! No feel at all of what the tyres were doing at any given time, plenty of understeer and even at slow speed into a junction there was the most annoying screech every time! Were a lot better in the wet, even though there was still no feel at all! No feedback at anytime, apart from when travelling under 30mph. The tyres lasted well in the time that i had them, and had minimal noise. However i would never consider buying these again, had them for 5000 miles before i got fed up with them and got them replaced, in my opinion these should really be avoided!

The reason I wanted to record my views on the Michelin Energy tyre was due to the experience i have had during the last few very wet days (first week of September'08).
The road surfces have constantly been covered in significant amounts of water. I am an enthusiastic driver even in these condidtions and I have been very impressed with the grip that these tyres have provided in these circumstances.

I Drive Audi A4 2.0 TFSI 2005/ Front Wheel Drive
I bought Michellin Energy Tire and I really dissapoint of it's grip especially in stop and go condition, It always spin like crazy. When I accelerate from stop i have to push the pedal slowly or it will skid and sound terribly. Never happen to my Previous Tyre.
Cornering even worse.
About the comfort I give 6 point because it have low noise and soft driving performance. The Wear alse good
This tyre have absolutely low progresiveness, Low Grip

Can anyone kindly tell me what tire I suppose to use In my Front Wheel Drive Audi?

I don't think i will buy Michelins ever again. They are simply over priced. For the same price, other brands are just as good. I've tried serval michelins beofre including the sport. I really don;t know whay they cost so much more than the others whilst sothers are just as good.

if you have too much money, then get michelin.

Given 60% while driving a Citroën C3 Pluriel (185/65 R15 H) on a combination of roads for 24,000 average miles
Michelin Energy XH1 fronts lasted 24,400 (2.0mm left) rears have (4.0 mm left)Thought they would last longer on the front. OK tyre nothing special, good fuel economy lasted fair? But would probably replace with the same again. Female driver general driving around no hard cornering.

Given 71% while driving a Renault Megane (205/55 R16 H) on mostly country roads for 24,000 spirited miles
Having previously had Michelin Energy's on a Punto and 307, I was pleased to find them as standard fitmet on our Megane. They seem to offer a good compromise on every aspect that I find important - a decent all rounder. Good enough road holding and cornering, and the reduced rolling resistance should mean I get more miles from every fill. They seem as good wearing as any medium softness tyre (so no cheapie, nor Pirelli or Conti). I've gone back for more of the same, although did think about looking for something that is great in the wet.

OE on my C4, 30k from the fronts before they needed replacing & 52k miles on the rears. Fuel efficiency was pretty good, nothing really special to say about them, but no problems either.

Given 76% while driving a Volkswagen Golf Mk3 1.8 (185/60 R14 H) on a combination of roads for 67 spirited miles
My car came fitted with a new set of Michelin Energy E3a's when I bought it second hand. The fronts lasted approx 30,000 miles and the rears nearly 40,000 before needing replacing (with approx 2 mm tread depth left). For a car like mine (standard Mk3 Golf) these tyres are more than good enough. The grip in the dry allows the door handles to scrape the road before progressively breaking away. The tyres are not the limiting factor for making good progress (more the lack of power, poor brakes and barge-like handling!). In the wet, grip is obviously compromised. However, the tyres still provide sufficient feed back to warn you when they are going to give up, and even when they do this happens progressively. I did have one scary moment aquaplaning in torrential rain on the A303 but think this was not the fault of the tyre but more the shear quantity of standing water combined with slightly excessive speed for the conditions. The car in front of me also was going sideways.

On balance, when it came to replace my tyres I chose the same again as I was impressed with the wear rate and minimal road noise combined with adequate grip. In my opinion they are well suited to the car.

Well, from a manafacturer lauded as much as Michelin, I'd really expect better!

These came fitted when we bought our Grand Scenic new, in 2005. It's a 2.0 165bhp model, which gets driven quite quickly, the grip is shocking on these tyres, and oddly this sort of glaze appears on the tread after a while which makes grip even worse.

I'd never buy these tyres, and I'm glad they're coming up to the replacement stage. Now to fit some decent Falken ZE512s.

A cheap hard tyre, i wasn't overly impressed with the rubber throughout the lifespan.
