On second set of these had no problems with them good dry grip good wet grip ,they do not do more than about 15000 miles on the front mixed roads but have lasted well on the back .Car is front wheel drive 1.8 primera sport which came with continetal sport contacts on which are expensive hence my decision to try the toyos which I have been pleased with good tyre for this car mileage could be better

I HAVE USED THESE LIST 1a TYRES FOR YEARS IN PRODUCTION SALOON CAR RACING,SPRINTS AND HILLCLIMB,THEY ARE PROGRESSIVE AND CONFIDENT IN THE DRY WITH MOST MAKES OF CARS I DRIVE AT EVENTS.
ON THE VAUXHALL ASTRA GSi WITH 270BHP THEY WHERE SUPERB IN THE WET AND I COULD TROUNCE THE OPPOSITION.
ON MY HONDA INTEGRA R DC5 THEY ARE PROGRESSIVE IN THE DRY,AND I CAN COMMIT MY RACE CAR TO MOST ANGLES AT SPEEDS UP TO 150MPH,BUT IN THE WET OR ON A COLD DAY,ON THE LIMIT THEY WOULD BREAK AWAY,RESULTING IN SEVERAL 130MPH CONTACTS WITH THE TYRE WALLS AT AVON RISE,CASTLE COMBE AND HAMILTONS AT SNETTERTON.
AT GOODWOOD IN THE RAIN THESE TYRES ON THE HONDA ARE QUESTIONABLE,USUALLY I OBLITERATE THE COMPETITION BUT I HAD A JOB STAYING ON THE CIRCUIT AT ANY HIGH SPEEDS,I STILL WON BUT IT WAS HARDER WORK THAN SOME OF THE OTHER MAKES OF LIST 1a TYRES THAT HAVE JUST COME ON THE MARKET.
SO FROM NOW I WILL NOT USE THEM ON THE INTEGRA.I HAVE FOUND ANOTHER LIST 1a TYRE WHICH I WILL REPORT ON AFTER A FEW EVENTS,AND ANYWAY I DONT WANT THE OTHER COMPETITORS TO KNOW JUST YET WHAT TYRES I AM TO USE FOR THE SEASON.

I have been running these on the back and i've been impressed with how well the tread depth has maintained. After 25000miles and 2 years, it is only the camber of the back wheels that has done for the inner wall of the tyre. I have never felt the back end go, even in extreme wet, and i would be very happy to use as rear tyres again. However i have been running Toyo Proxes T1sports on the front and the compound used is very soft which means they have lasted in truth only a third of the time.

The Toyo Tr1 tyres are great on my Mazda MX5 (Mk2.5 / 53reg). I have tried Yokohama 306 and Uniroyal Rainsport 2's on the MX5. The Toyos just seem to feel right on the MX5, lots of drip, nice and soft rubber which has lots of grip in the summer. Toyo FTW!

Excellent tire for everyday use. Great grip in dry and excellent in the wet. Also very comfortable. I like to drive aggressively and this tire meets these needs perfectly. I strongly recommend as it is a much better tire than others more expensive ones.

Had these on my Focus ST 225 for around 6000 miles so far.

They give you loads of confidence and feedback in the dry although it does sometimes feel like the side wall might be a bit soft as the feeling can be a bit spongy, but they grip really well.

In the wet they are good but not excellent on corners, the glide through water but feel a biy like they could give way if you enter that roundabout or bend a bit too quick.

Performance is the most important factor but as well as that the tread pattern is gorgeous. I'll be in need of some new boots on the front soon and will consider these again although apparently Toyo have stopped making them and have moved on.

These tyres are very good in terms of wear. I had them for nearly 23000 miles and they are still above the legal limit. The grip is quite good in both dry and wet conditions. however they are bit noisy at motorway speeds may because of the tyre size and a quite Lexus. Lexus does recommend them but the road noise is quite intruding than the old Dunlops

I nearly always buy TR1's because they are just exceptional in the dry, but whenever I try anything else, I wish I had stuck with them

I'v been driving an Audi A4tdi Avant now for 3 years and its a joy to drive with Toyo Proxes tr1's. For a medium sized four wheel drive estate car I can honestly say these tyres turn it into a little 'Road racer' and I have had full confidence in them time and time again, at my time of need! If you get my drift. They just keep trying!

When I burnt out most of my legal rubber after about 8 to 10k they have still been good for about a further k or so, as almost 'Shuemacher' cast off's before they become on the road limit.

Changing them at just the right time(before Ilegal) I did so for..My newest purchase and still currently driving on Matador Elite3. But I do miss my Proxes dispite the Matador durabilty.

Only problem with the proxes.. They dont last very long due to a Super Sticky Grip, so I am currently looking at my next purchase as its imminant. Fulda sportcontrol or something..A first generation Eagel F1, Or a Nexon tyle.. sh something RACE 1. with teeth like tread! I am Driving 12k Plus a year over 'A' and 'B' roads and occasional motorway mile streach, in tipical English whether.

Gosh, If only I had an RS4 avant, well when fuel prices drop......WE wish.

As for the Toyo Proxes tr1's.. If youre not sure.. Do it! you will Love them. It' like a good night without the hangover as they don't cost the Earth.

I have these tyres on my Peugeot 106 GTi and my Ford Fiesta Van. Very good tyre in the dry, you really feel like you can push them to the limit and have confidence. Totally different story in the wet I found. I live in Scotland, it's wet A LOT of the time. I found the tyres quite poor in wet conditions, roundabouts were my main concern. Having to slow right down before being confident in the tyre.

The wear on them is extremely low and there is very little road noise. I'd think twice about buying again due to the wet feedback.
