Very nice tyres. Dry grip was very good indeed, wet grip was relatively even better. I was really impressed by how much these tyres held on wet roads. Very confidence inspiring. Wear rate was excellent, noise and comfort similarly so. For a "touring" tyre, these are superb and much better than the P6000s so common for this size tyre (which I've also driven). They're only let you down a little when you push them (but then you really should be buying a performance tyre, not a touring tyre!), where you get a lot of scrabbling and sudden break away, and also steering response isn't the best, so they're not the best for fast country road driving. Everything else, especially motorway miles, bring it on!

Interesting tyres. Cheap to buy but the wear rate is pretty poor (judging by my first 8000 miles with them), so middle in the value stakes. Then to tyre performance.... on the face of it, these are nothing special. Dry grip is good, wet grip is not bad but nothing to write home about. However, where these tyres are special is the level of predictability you get with them and their responsiveness. Very progressive loss of grip, excellent cornering stability means finding the right line is a doddle, good steering response: basically, you can happily push these to the limit and know exactly what's going on. A drivers tyre, not up there with the best in absolute performance, but I've been very happy with them and the price is good (not allowing for wear!).

I always wondered why I've seen so many P6000s fitted to cars on the road. When I got a new set of wheels fitted with these, I found out. In short, these are pretty inoffensive tyres and do nothing wrong. So, really, no-one can really go wrong with them. "No-one ever got fired for buying IBM" springs to minds! However, they don't really excel in any one area. If you want a safe choice that's reasonable value, fine. But there are much better tyres out there (e.g. Bridgestone ER300s).
