Fiat Panda Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Vredestein Sportrac 3 given 86% (195-45-15-V)
Driving on mostly country roads for 5000 spirited miles
Great tyre for the car. Much better than the original fit tyres. Highly recommended.

Writing about the Vredestein Quatrac 3 given 84% (195-50-15-V)
Driving on mostly country roads for 1500 spirited miles
Great all season tyre which proved invaluable in our uk winter at the start of 2010. I drove about 21 miles a day on rural roads which were never gritted and these tyres performed superbly.

Writing about the Firestone Multihawk given 80% (165-65-14-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 spirited miles
At first when I saw these tyres on my new car, I was seriously considering changing them, but after driving, sometimes very aggressively, I have to say these tyres are very good in dry and wet, so good that I'm defiantly going to buy them again for my car.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend them for a super car, but for your average family car they perform admirably and won't let you down in an emergency. I can't comment on the wear as I haven't had them long enough, but first impressions are very good.

Writing about the Barum Brillantis given 66% (155-80-13-T)
Driving on a combination of roads for 25000 average miles
These Barum Brillantis tyres were fitted to my wife's Fiat Panda when the original Continentals wore out.

I found the dry and wet handling to be satisfactory but when the car was driven hard the sidewalls didn't seem to give the support that was required - perhaps this was down to the tyre having a high (80%) profile. Greater levels of understeer were experienced than compared to the Continentals - perhaps lower profile versions of this tyre perform better!

This particular Brillantis tyre has since been superseded by the “Barum Brillantis 2” which I imagine performs better.

Writing about the Nexen N6000 given 56% (195-45-15-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 9000 spirited miles
Not a fantastic tyre to be honest, the one and only reason I bought these again is the price.

Writing about the Continental Eco Contact 3 given 46% (155-80-13-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 9000 easy going miles
9000 miles left side front, correct pressure ect down to ware bars not good enough especially on a 1.1 eco Panda driven on local roads at less than 60mph

Writing about the Primewell PS850 given 16% (155-80-13-T)
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 spirited miles
Fronts worn out after 10k on a Fiat Panda - very unimpressed.

Extremely noisy and very uncomfortable. Even at £30 a pop they#re a lot of money - avoid.
