The best tyres I have used so far and they offer so much grip and control in all conditions. And my driving style is very spirited.

Had these fitted to the front of my Civic Type R to replace some very badly worn Toyo Proxes T1-R.
Initial impressions are very good, excellent grip in the wet and even better in the dry.
Comfort and road noise are reasonable for the size of the tyre and the feedback is very good.
Can’t really comment on the wear rates so I will report back once these near the end of their life to see if I’m as impressed with them.
So far so good, thumbs up for me and I would recommend these tyres!

Excellent tyres even though a bit pricey, good dry and wet weather grip. Good dry and wet weather braking and very progressive on the limit. Nice stiff sidewalls keeps the car smooth through corners. A very good tyre.

After a while skidding and sliding with factory standard RE040s on my Civic R, I plumped for these due to the good reviews. My god, they are SO much better! Wet weather performance is like night and day compared to the Bridgestones. Not a hint of wheelspin in the wet and very grippy in the dry. The walls are a little softer than RE040s but provide a smoother and quieter ride. I'm fully used to this difference now and its not a problem. I would definately recommend this tyre for FWD cars which need all the grip they can get!

Second type R bought ten tyres so far, set of 4 £365 fitted. Excellent grip dry & good wet, get about 8000m fronts 18000m rears could be better. For price/grip would recommend.

I found these tyres to be almost ideal for sports road driving. The feedback is good and inspires confidence, the dry grip is very good and wet grip resonable. The tyres strongest point is that it breaks away in a soft very user friendly way.
The only down sides are the reletively short life span and slightly higher than average noise levels.

I put them on my 02 plate Civic Type R this time last year. I do a lot of motorway driving and I am don't often drive the car on the limit. I have 3 types of tyres fitted on the same car before (Bridgestone RE040, Dunlop Sports Maxx GT, Falken ZE912 and here is my view.
For everyday normal use, the Falken is the best, very quiet and very comfortable. I have so far put on 24000 on them and I think it is possible to get to 30000 on the front and even more from the rear. Let me stress again I drive within the speed limit but and never throw the car around. Once I put them on, I can immediately notice how quiet it was compare to the other 2 and how good it is over the bumps.
In terms of comfort, noise + wear. I rate it Falken, Bridgestone, Dunlop.
However, the softer sidewall has an affect on the handling. In fact, I would say Bridgestone is the best for cornering, then Dunlop, and lastly Falken.
Dry grip I prefer the Dunlop, Bridgestone, Falken
Wet grip I would go for Bridgestone, Dunlop, Falken.
Based on my ratings above, you can see that in my opinion if you want a comfortable ride, go for the Falken. If you want to drive at speed, I would go for the Bridgestone.
One thing I would like to mention is that when the Falken was new, driving it in the cold weather on A12 was really scary. You can feel the tyre move around and the rear was very light. That went away after about 7-800 miles.
For value, you can't beat the Falken. Just make sure you choose it for the right reason and not just for the price. I personally would go back to Bridgestone for the front next time round just to feel more confident.
